What does the setup fee cover?

The first two weeks of discovery (workflow mapping with your team and written specifications you sign off), plus the first workflow built and shipped to production. Everything before the monthly retainer kicks in.
Do you actually deploy on-premise or is that marketing?

Yes, properly. MonAI Private runs on your servers, with local open-weight models: Google Gemma 4 and Gemma 4B for general reasoning, Qwen 80B Coder Next for code-heavy workflows, GLM 4.7 Flash for fast retrieval, Magistral for long-context document work. The model itself stays inside your network. We've shipped this for legal and financial firms whose data cannot leave the building.
What if a workflow doesn't work?

Every workflow has an acceptance spec we agree before build. If we cannot meet it, we either keep iterating until we do (at our cost during the discovery month) or refund that workflow and remove it from scope. You don't pay for things that don't work.
How is this different from off-the-shelf tools like Zapier or n8n?

Those tools chain pre-built blocks. We write bespoke logic, prompts and integrations tuned to your firm's workflow, with model behaviour we can guarantee and audit. We use Zapier-style tools where they are the right fit and write code where they are not.
Can we add or change workflows mid-retainer?

Yes. The retainer includes new workflow additions within your tier's active count. Want a fifth workflow on Studio when you've already got four? We swap one out or move you up. We don't nickel-and-dime mid-engagement.
What happens to the work if we cancel?

You own all workflow code, prompts and configurations bespoke to your firm on full payment of the setup fee. On cancellation we provide a clean export within seven working days. No lock-in by design.
